Surah Al Bara’at

> ” They will make excuses to you when you return to them (after the expedition of Tabuk). Say (O Muhammad): Make no excuses, we shall by no means believe you. Indeed Allah has informed us of the true state of matters concerning you. Allah will uphold your doings and (so will) His messenger; and then you will be brought back to Him who knows the hidden and the manifest, who will then inform you of that which you were doing”: (94)

> ” They will swear by Allah to you, when you return to them, that you may turn away from them; so turn away from them; verily they are scum and their abode is hell; a recompense for what they used to earn”: (95)

> ” They will swear to you that you may be pleased with them. Even if you are pleased with them, (remember) Allah is not pleased with the wicked people”: (96)

Flag 2: The Evil Wishers: (Bara’at-9: 98)

> ” And of the rustic Arabs of the desert there are those who believe in Allah and the last day and consider what they spend to be a means of approach to Allah and the blessings of the messenger. Verily it shall be a means of approach for them, soon shall Allah admit them to His mercy; verily Allah is oft-forgiving, merciful”: (99)

Flag 3: True Believers amongst Rustic Arabs: (Bara’at-9: 99)

> ” And the first and foremost among those who left their homes (migrated from Makkah to Madina-Muhajirs), those who welcomed them (in Madina-Ansars), and those who followed them in goodness: Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens in which rivers flow where they will abide forever. That is a great achievement”: (Bara’at-9: 100)

Flag 4: Equality amongst foremost (Muhajirs & Ansars) thereby rejecting any claimed superiority of one over other: (Bara’at-9: 100)

> And among those around you of the rustic Arabs of the desert there are hypocrites, and among the residents of Madina (there are some who) are stubborn in hypocrisy. You do not know them. We know them, and We will punish them twice, and then they will be brought back to grievous chastisement”: (101)

Flag 5: Those Stubborn in Hypocrisy: (Bara’at-9: 101)

> ” Say (to them): Act (as you will). Allah beholds your deeds, and (so do) His messenger and the believers; and then you shall be brought back to the knower of the hidden and the manifest; then He will tell you of what you were doing”: (105)

Flag 7: Who are the beholders (knowers) of your deeds besides Allah? (Bara’at-9: 105)

And Allah bears witness that verily they are liars”: (107)

> ” Is he who has laid his foundation on strict observance of Allah’s laws (taqwa) and (His) goodwill better or he who lays his foundation on the brink of a crumbling bank, which crumbles with him in the fire of hell? Allah does not guide the people who are wilfully unjust”: (109)

He fought against faithfuls in Uhad and Hunayn and then went to Hercules (Byzantine Emperor) to raise an army to crush Muslims. From there he coordinated with hypocrites at Madina to construct the Masjid-e- Zarrar to house subversive activities against Muslims. By the time this masjid was completed Abu Amir died in Syria. The hypocrites requested the Holy Prophet to consecrate it by praying therein and Allah commanded against it. The Masjid-e- Zarrar was subsequently demolished.

> ” Verily Allah has purchased from the faithful their selves and their properties; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of paradise). They fight in Allah’s way, and they slay and they are slain; (this is) a promise binding on Him in the Tawrat and the Injil and the Quran. Who is more faithful to His covenant than Allah? > ” And to the three also (did He turn in mercy) who were left behind until when the earth, vast as it is, became sustained to them, and their own souls became straitened to them, and they thought there was no refuge from Allah except Him, then He turned to them in mercy that they too might turn repentant to Him. This is because, neither thirst, nor fatigue, nor hunger afflicts them in Allah’s way, nor do they tread a path which enrages the infidels, nor do they receive from the enemy (any injury), but it is reckoned to their credit as a deed of righteousness. Verily Allah does not let the reward of those who do good to go waste”: (120)

> ” Nor do they spend any spending (in the way of Allah), small or great, nor do they cross a valley (in the cause of Allah) but it is recorded to their credit, that Allah may reward them with the best for that which they have been doing”: (121)

> ” Nor should the faithful all go forth (to war) together. Destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they may not believe until they see the painful chastisement”: (88)

> ” (Allah) said: Surely the prayer of you two (Musa & Harun) is accepted, keep to the right path and do not follow the path of those who have no knowledge”: (89)

> ” And We caused the children of Israil to pass (safely) through the sea, then Firawn and his hosts chased them in rebellion and hostility; until, when the drowning overtook him, he said: I believe there is no god but He, in whom the children of Israil believe, and I am of the Muslims”: (90)

> ” What! Now, though before this you disobeyed, and you were of the mischief-makers”: (91)
