Flag 2: Yusuf (Management Specialist by way of ilm-e-laduni): Command for seeking specialisation: (Yusuf-12: 55)

Note:

(i) Worldly specialization (commensurate with requirements of life of this world) is truly a compliance with Allah’s Way and must be construed as His command.

(ii) Yusuf’s acquisition of finance and management expertise directly from Allah (ilm-e-laduni) is the important aspect of this verse.

(iii) To say and/or accept that the holy Prophet was illiterate is spurious and embedded with malafide intentions.

(iv) The holy Prophets carried every kind of knowledge and expertise (ilm-e-laduni) passed on to him by Allah Himself.

(v) The holy Prophet’s declaration (I am the City of Knowledge and Ali is its Gate) is a tacit statement of his (ilm-e-laduni) in unequivocal terms.

This (that we have brought) is a small measure” : (65)

> ” (Yaqub) said: I will never send him with you until you give me a firm undertaking in the name of Allah that you will certainly bring him back to me unless you are surrounded. > ” And when they went in before Yusuf, he lodged his (full) brother with himself, and said: Verily, I am your (own) brother, therefore do not grieve for what they have been doing”: (69)

> ” And when he had furnished them with their provision, he (a steward) put the drinking-cup in his brother’s saddle-bag. Then a crier cried: O men of the caravan, verily you are thieves”: (70)

> ” He said: Allah forbid that we should take any one other than him with whom we found our property; or else we will be unjust”: (79)

> ” So when they despaired of (persuading) him, they held a conference in private. The oldest of them said: Do you not know that your father took from you a (firm) covenant in Allah’s name, (and) how, before this, you failed in the case of Yusuf? IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL

Surah Ar Ra’d

(01-43)

> ” Alif, Lam, Mim, Ra. These are the verses of the book. Whatsoever has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth; but most of the mankind do not believe”: (01)

> ” Allah is He who raised the heavens without any pillars, as you can see, then firmly established himself on the throne (of absolute authority), and subjected the sun and the moon (to His law); each runs (its course) to an appointed time. He regulates all affairs. He explains the signs (in detail), that haply you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord”: (02)

Flag 14: Allah’s Laws & Science: (Rad-13: 02)

(i) Knowledge-based understanding of Allah’s laws is nothing but Science.

(ii) While Allah’s Way (Sunnat) is absolute; scientific understanding of (Allah’s Laws) at any particular stage is partial leaving room for subsequent findings.

(iii) In scientific language, the compliance of (Allah’s Laws) by the sun and the moon is an example demonstrating His absolute control on all affairs with respect to the universe.

> ” And He it is Who spread out the earth and placed upon it firm mountains and (flowing) rivers, and of all fruits, He has made two of a pair (male and female). He causes the night to cover the day. Verily in this, there are signs for a people who reflect” : (03)

> ” On the earth are tracts, side by side, and vineyards, and fields of corn and date-palm trees, with roots, joined together and with single roots, watered with the same water, yet We make some more excellent than the others in fruit. Verily in this, there are signs for those who understand”: (04)

Flag 16: Allah’s Creations & Gifts: Wonders of qualitative and quantitative distinctions in yields (Rad-13: 04)

Note:

(i) Invitation to mankind to think and contemplate on Allah’s creations. In particular, factors such as qualitative and quantitative distinctions amongst products emerging from the same basic source.

> ” And if you wonder, then wondrous is the saying: What! When we are dust, shall we then be certainly turned into a new creation? These are they who disbelieve in their Lord, and they will have collars (of servitude) around their necks; and they are the companions of the fire where they will abide forever: (05)

> ” And they ask you to hasten the evil (the chastisement) before the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed come to pass before them. And verily your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness unto people despite their injustice; and verily your Lord is severe in requital”: (06)

Flag 17: Allah: The Lord of Forgiveness: (Rad-13: 05- 06)

> ” And those who disbelieve say: Why is not a sign sent down to him (Muhammad) from his Lord? Verily you are a warner, and to every people there is a guide”: (07)

Flag 18: Messenger & the Guide: (Rad-13: 07):

Note:

(i) Quran treats the miracles as subordinate to the moral and spiritual evidence and signs demonstrated by the holy Prophet, who was sent as a warner.

(ii) For faithfuls, guide refers to Ali Ibna Abu Talib followed by Imams of Ahlul Bayt (Ahzab-33: 33)

> ” Allah knows what every female bears, and that which the wombs fall short (of completion) and that which they exceed. And everything with Him is measured”: (08)

> ” He is the knower of the unseen and the seen, the great, the highest high”: (09)

(It is) nothing but like one who stretches his two hands towards water that it may reach his mouth, but it will never reach it. The prayer of the infidels does nothing but goes (far) astray”: (14)

Flag 22: Think! Can water reach itself to ones’ mouth only by stretching his hands? What matters is the worship directed to Allah alone: (Rad-13:14)

> ” And to Allah alone prostrate all those who are in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and (so do) their shadows in the morning and evening”: (15)

Say: Are the blind and seeing are equal to one another? Or is darkness equal to light? Or have those whom they have made associates of Allah created (anything) like His creation, so that the creation seemed all alike to them (and they became confused)? Say: Allah alone is the creator of all things. He is One, the all-dominant almighty”: (16)

> ” He sends down water from the heaven, then the valleys flow (with water), each according to its measure, and the torrent bears (on its surface) swelling foam – from that which they melt in the fire in order to make ornaments or tools rises a scum like unto it – thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood. (18)

Flag 25: The contrasting responses of believers/disbelievers & the corresponding end results: (Rad-13: 18)

> ” Is then he, who knows what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth, like him who is blind (ignorant)? They alone bear in mind who are endued with understanding”: (19)

Say: He is my Lord, there is no god but He; on Him do I rely, and to Him is my return”: (30)

> ” And if there was a Quran with which the mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak (the disputants would not believe). Nay, but truly the command belongs to Allah altogether. Do not those who believe yet know that if Allah (so) willed, He would have certainly guided all mankind? And a disaster will not cease to strike those who disbelieve because of what they do, or it will alight near their abodes until the promise of Allah comes to pass. Verily Allah does not fail in His promise”: (31)

Is it that you who inform Him of what He does not know on the earth, or is it (just) a show of words? Nay, but their contrivance is made to appear fair-seeming to those who disbelieve, and they are kept back from the right path; and whomsoever Allah leaves to stray, for him there is no guide”: (33)

> ” When the matter will be decided Shaytan shall say: Verily Allah promised you a promise of truth, and I also promised you but failed to keep (my promise) to you, and I had no authority over you, however, I called you and you answered me; so do not blame me, but blame yourself.
