Surah AL Mulk

(67: 01-30)

> ” Hallowed is He in whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things”: (01)

Flag 1: Allah: The Blessed, holy and inviolable owner of the known and unknown kingdom and the owner of absolute unilateral, unrestricted and unrestrained power over everything: (Mulk-67: 01)

> ” Who created death and life in order that He may prove to you (as to) who of you is the best in deeds. He is the ever-prevalent, the oft-forgiving”: (02)

Flag 2: The sequence and logic behind life and death: (Mulk-67: 02)

Note:

(i) Performance can only be assessed by putting an individual to task.

(ii) The life and death cycle is the necessity for achieving this objective.

(iii) Accordingly, life tenure is the testing ground to achieve well defined targets using the gift of intellect bestowed by the merciful.

(iv) Allah with His all encompassing knowledge is fully aware of the results in respect of each individual; but his absolute justice (Adl) demands physical proofs of the permanence duly certified by the witnesses (Prophets, Imams, written down statement by angels, physical evidence by organs of the performer, etc).

(v) The verse below should be adequate to understand Allah’s all encompassing knowledge:

> ” Shall not He who created you know? He is subtle, the aware”

(Mulk-67: 14)

(vi) The element of prefixed destiny does not exist as each individual has been provided with absolute freedom of action.

(vii) Allah provides guidance and multiplies the same in respect of the seekers.

(viii) Anyone not interested in availing guidance and mercy is left unattended so are the ungrateful, rebellious, persistent liars & beliers.

ijz-e-Gunah Ke Dam Tak Hain Asmat Kamil Ke Jalwey

The recognition of piety rests with the existence of lowly pathetic impiety (overwhelming state of being drowned in sins)

Pasti Hai tu Bulandi Hai Raz Bulandi Pasti Hai

The existence of lowliness give rise to the recognition of heights

> ” Who created the seven heavens one above the other. You do not see any flaw in the creation of AR Rahman. Then look again. Do you see any fissure”? (03)

> ” Turn your eyes again and again, your gaze shall turn back dulled and tired”: (04)

> ” Verily We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles to drive away the devils, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the flaming fire”: (05)

Flag 3: Allah’s Faultless Kingdom: (Mulk-67: 03-05)

Note:

(i) The description of heavens other than lowest heavens is known to Allah alone.

> ” For those who disbelieve in their Lord there is chastisement of hell, an evil destination”! (06)

> ” When they shall be flung into it, the shall hear its roaring”: (07)

> ” It would almost burst with rage. Every time a group is flung into it, its keepers shall ask: Did not a warner come to you”? (08)

> ” They shall say: Yes, surely a warner came to us, but we belied him, and said: Allah has not sent down anything; you are in nothing but a great delusion”: (09)

> ” And they say: Had we but listened and used our intelligence, we would not have been among the inmates of blazing fire”: (10)

> ” So they will confess their sins, but far away (from Allah’s mercy) will be the people of the blazing fire”: (11)

Flag 4: Far away from Allah’s mercy (Mulk: 06-11):

> ” Verily those who fear their Lord in secret, for them shall be forgiveness and recompense”: (12)

> “Whether you conceal your word or declare it, verily He is the knower of whatsoever is in the breasts”: (13)

> ” Shall not He who created you know? He is subtle , the aware”: (14)

Flag 5: Shall there be anything unknown to Allah who created you and everything else?: Those who fear their Lord: (Mulk-67: 12-14)

> “He it is who made the earth subservient to you, so walk through its vast valleys and eat of His provisions; while unto Him is the resurrection”: (15)

> ” Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven shall not cause earth to swallow you, when it shall quake”? (16)

> “Or do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven shall not send down upon you a violent storm to shower stones at you? Then you shall know how (terrible) was My warning”! (17)

> ” But indeed those before them also belied (My signs). How (terrible) was then My wrath”! (18)

> ” Do they not behold the birds above them, their flying wings spread or folded? No one holds them aloft but ARRAHMAN. Verily He sees everything”: (19)

> “Or who is he who (can be) an army unto you and help you apart from ARRAHMAN? The disbelievers are surely lost to delusion”: (20)

> ” or who is he who can provide you with sustenance should He withhold His sustenance? Yet they persist in perverseness and aversion”: (21)

> ” Is he who goes about grovelling upon his face better guided, or he who walks walks upright on the right path”? (22)

> ” Say (O Muhammad): He it is who brought you into being and gave you ears and eyes and hearts; yet how little are the thanks you offer”: (23)

Flag 6: Think and answer the above question in earnest! Is there an option other than surrender to Allah? (Mulk-67: 13-24)

Note:

(i) Who is it who provides everything and reigns supreme on all affairs? None other than Allah of course!

(ii) Is there anything at all? based on any criterion to be realised by persisting in the ‘Divine’ denial? Think and contemplate in earnest and avail the final call before it is too late!

> ” Say: He it is who has spread you over the earth, and to him you shall be gathered”: (24)

> ” They say: when shall this promise come to pass, if you are truthful”: (25)

> ” Say: Allah alone has the knowledge I am only an open warner”: (26)

> ” But when they shall see it near, grieved shall be the faces of those who disbelieve, and it shall be said (to them): This is what you have been calling for”: (27)

Flag 7: The knowledge of the ‘Hour’ rests with Allah alone: (Mulk-67: 25-27)

> ” Say: Just think. If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His mercy on us, then who will protect the disbelievers from a painful chastisement”? (28)

> ” Say: He is ARRAHMAN. We believe in Him, and in Him do We put our trust. So soon you shall know who it is that is in manifest straying”: (29)

Flag 8: Being under ARRahman’s Protection: (Mulk-67: 28-29)

> ” Say: Just think. If your water were to dry up in the morning who then can bring you flowing water”? (30)

Flag 9: Think ! If your water dries up, who other than Allah can restore it? (Mulk-67: 24-30)

Note:

(i) Is any recourse to persist in the ‘Divine’ denial left? Answer? Take immediate action based as guided by your intellect!

Should you be attached to these two, never, never, shall you go astray, after me’, for verily these two shall never separate from each other; and, joined together, they shall meet me at the spring of Kawthar.

Flag 51. How ‘Day’ time worship differs: (Muzzammil-73: 07-08)

Note:

(i) Verse (Muzzammil-73: 07) provides a clear demarcation in respect of day time activities and commands a respect for the same.

(ii) The day time devotion to Allah consists of two components of ‘Worship’ as outlined below:

(iii) Execution of Haqooq-al-Allah (Wajibats: Mandatory Worship). Know that spending the whole day saying optional prayers is not a recommended act.

(iv) Attending Haqooq-al-ibad (Worldly Affairs) is the key day time activity requiring sincere attention. Acts mentioned below are only a few examples of the antonyms (opposites) of the ‘Worship’.

(v) Not paying attention to your job for which you are being paid: Not complying with the civil/civic laws: infringing rights of others or ignoring the same: Not being an honest, law-abiding citizen: Not being good to family or parents or to neighbors or subordinates: Recourse to corrupt business and ethical practices, etc.

(vi ) Ignoring either of these (Mandatory Worship or Worldly Affairs) is no worship at all.

> ” Verily your Lord knows that you stand up (in prayer) about two-thirds of the night, and (sometimes) half of it, and sometimes one-third of it as do a group of those with you. Allah measures the night and day. He knows that you are unable to keep an exact account of it (the timing of the night prayers), so He turns to you in mercy. So recite (in the prayers) of the Quran which is easy for you. He knows some among you are sick, and some are traveling in the earth seeking the grace of Allah, and some are fighting in the way of Allah. So recite from it as much as you can easily, and establish the (regular) prayers, and pay the (prescribed) poor-rate, and lend a goodly loan to Allah. Whatsoever good you send beforehand for yourself, you will find it with Allah. This is the best and greatest reward, and seek forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is oft-forgiving, most merciful”: (20)

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL

Surah Ad Dahr

(76: 01-31)

> ” Did not a space of time pass over man when he was not anything worth mentioning”? (01)

> ” Verily We created man from a drop of mingled fluid (life-germ) in order to test and try him; so We gave him hearing and sight”: (02)

> ” Verily We showed him the (right) way, (then) he is either grateful or ungrateful”: (03)

Flag 76: The insignificant origin of Man: (Homo-Erectus), (Homo-Sapiens) & Adam: (Dahr-76: 01-03)

Note:

(i) The insignificant physical existence of the ancient man is verified by verse (Dahr-76: 01).

(ii) The description may correspond to the known existence of two legged species identified as (homo-erectus) nearly two million years ago.

(iii) Homo erectus (meaning ‘upright man’) is an extinct species of archaic human from the Pleistocene, with its earliest occurrence about 2 million years ago, and its specimens are among the first recognisable members of the genus Homo. H. erectus was the first human ancestor to spread throughout the Old World, having a distribution in Eurasia extending from the Iberian Peninsula to Java. African populations of H. erectus are likely to be the direct ancestors to several human species.

(iv) The (homo-erectus), though physically similar to the (homosapiens), did not carry the gift of intellect; thereby being closer to animals in characteristics.

(v) (Homo-Sapiens) the known intellect bearing ancestors of the existing mankind appeared on the scene commencing 20,000 to 60,000 BC.

(vi) Prior to the advent of Adam, life on earth for the living being had no meaning except to struggle for survival. It appears that the arrival of Adam on earth coincided with the indication of (Homo Sapiens).

(vii) When Allah declared His intent to appoint a vicegerent on earth, represented by Adam: angels stated that Your appointee on earth will make mischief and shed blood (Baqarah-2: 30). How did the angels know this in advance? It is obvious that angels were comparing Adam with the species on earth at that time involved in their indicated violent activities. The real potential of Adam was unknown to them and their observation was based on conjecture.

(viii) Besides, the descending of the spirit of Adam simultaneously or periodically into the physical existence of pre-(homo-sapiens) known as (homo-eerectus) or else can not be ruled out.

(ix) Adam gave new significance to life on earth. The man was given the knowledge to learn how to choose between good and evil.

(x) The term ‘Adam’ in the Quran, refers to the first man who came out of a state of ease and comfort to make effort and reach ultimate excellence. In this journey, within the sphere of time and space, he, as the most well-equipped creature among all the created beings, has, at his disposal, divine guidance to fight and overcome obstacles and evil satanic forces.

(xi) According to the traditions of Muhammad and Ali, there were several Adams. It may also be indicative of several worlds like earth.

> ” Verily We have prepared for disbelievers chains and shackles and a flaming fire”: (04)

Flag 78: ‘Tajdar-e-Hal Ata’: Know those appreciated by Allah? (Dahr-76: 07-09)

Note:

(i) All Muslim traditionalists and historians agree that verses (Dahr-76: 07-14) were revealed in the praise of Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussain when in fulfilment of a vow they gave whatever food they had in the house to a destitute, an orphan, and a (freed) captive on three consecutive days while breaking their fasts with water only as no additional food was available in the house.

(ii) Philosopher/Poet Iqbal described Ali as ‘Tajdar-e-Hal Ata’ (he who has been crowned with surah Adh Dahr).

(iii) According to the followers of the Ahlul Bayt, when it is accepted that Ali has been crowned with surah Adh Dahr, it follows that at no time the world was, is and will be without ( visible or invisible) Ali ibn Abu Talib.

> ” So Allah will guard them from evil of that day, and cause them to find cheerfulness and happiness”: (11)

> ” The shades (of the garden) will bend low over them, and clusters of fruits will bow down (within easy reach)”: (14)
