> ” You shall see the angels circling around the arsh (the seat of divine authority), celebrating the praise of their Lord; and judgment shall be given between them with justice; and it shall be said: All praise to be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds”: (75)

Flag 14: Iblis’ challenge to Allah ends in Naught: Prostration due only to the One, the Only Sovereign and the Absolute Truth (Allah): (Zumer-39: 75)

Note:

(i) The verse above depicts the final episode of battle between Shaytan and Mankind initiated with the dialogue between Allah and Iblis concerning prostration to Adam and Iblis’s refusal to do the same.

(ii) Iblis failed to recognize Adam’s (ilm-knowledge) and the future potential of mankind.

(iii) Allah intends to show the results not only to Iblis but with all angels being witness to the end game.

(iv) The ensuing battle was between (ilm-knowledge) and (Jahal-ignorance) which is the opposite of the intellect based knowledge (ilm).

(v) Angels who prostrated to Adam were a witness to this battle.

(vi) Allah with infinite knowledge and wisdom knows everything, and could give judgement without going into further details.

(vii) Instead, on the day of judgement, Allah, in view of His ‘Absolute Justice’, intends to prove everything with the physical evidence inclusive of witnesses (Prophets, Imams, Angels and parts of the body of each individual) to certify their deeds.

(viii) Allah’s first creation, a product of (Kun-faya-Koon, Word, Ruh) was (intellect). All other creations including the universe followed.

(ix) On the authority of the (Ahlul Bay): The throne (Arsh) refers to the absolute wisdom of the Lord (Allah) and those who surround the divine wisdom on its outskirts are the angels and His chosen friends.

(ii) (men of understanding:Ulul-albab) refers to the sincere devotees of the (Ahlul Bayt).

(iii) Other relevant references: ‘Those who have been given knowledge’ (Utul ilm) refers to the thoroughly purified by Allah ( Ahlul Bayt:Ahzab-33: 33).

Flag 31: Self centred and exaggerated personal ego condemned: (Mumin-40: 56)

Note:

(i) Shaytan’s fundamental tool to induct individuals in his camp is inculcating the desire to have the best of everything for the self. Included therein are overriding considerations with respect to personal (wealth, knowledge, respect, family, standing amongst peers, authority, etc) using lawful or unlawful means. An enhanced desire for the same turns the life of an individual into a self-serving robot with everything about (Me).

(ii) Contrary to the above, for a truthful believer, life in this world inclusive of any or all affairs, revolves around (He) which is Allah. Included therein is absolute understanding and implementation of the divine laws (Taqwa).

> ” The creation of heavens and earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind but most people do not know”: (57)

Flag 32: The Creation of the Universe is greater than the creation of Mankind: (Mumin-40: 56-59)

Note:

(i) While the complexity of the creation of both mankind and the universe may be matching, there is little comparison in terms of scale. Obviously, the creation of the universe stands out in its unmatched greatness.

(ii) Based on size alone, mankind and the universe must be seen as the opposite of one another.

(iii) Proponents of exaggerate (unlimited ) ego, must realise there insignificance compared to Allah’s other creations with universe being a ready reference.

(iv) Their inability to concede to their insignificance (and return to Allah) is a manifestation of their total blindness while they do not know.

> ” The blind and seeing are not alike, nor those who believe and do good (are like) those who do evil. Little do you reflect”: (58)

> ” Verily, the hour of reckoning will come there is no doubt about it; but most people do not believe”: (59)

Flag 33: Emphasis on the understanding of Unikes (Opposites): Allah’s sign to be sure of the certainty of the upcoming ‘Hour’. (Mumin-40: 54-59 & 61-63)

Note:

(i) Note alike are the (mankind and the universe in size), nor (blind and seeing), nor (believers and disbelievers), or (day and night), (good and evil), etc.

(ii) Mankind must think, evaluate and prepare for the inevitable ‘Hour’.

> ” Your Lord says: Call to Me, I will answer you. Verily those who are too arrogant to worship Me, shall soon enter hell disgraced”: (60)

Flag 34: How to make (Duas: Submissions) effective: Allah Listens to Prayers (Duas) with assurance to Answer: (Mumin-40: 60)

Note:

(i) Allah has given man permission to invoke Him with an assured response.

(ii) All submissions (Duas) must only be directed to Allah alone (Ayaka Na-Budu Wa Ayaka Nastaeen: Fatihah-01: 05) as none other than Him carries any authority to accept or reject the same.

(iii) Nevertheless, Allah directs ‘Seeking of means of access (Wasila)’ to approach Him (Maidah-5: 35)

(iv) If Allah had willed He could have guided mankind directly through inspiration, but in His infinite wisdom, He had not deemed it desirable. Instead he conveyed through representatives (Prophets).

(v) It is therefore necessary to seek (Wasila) to successfully approach Allah.

(vi) For faithfuls, these include Muhammad and the (Ahlul Bayt) who have been thoroughly purified by Allah (Azab-33: 33)

> ” Allah is He who has made night for you so that you may rest in it and the day to give you light. Allah is gracious to man, but most people do not give thanks”: (61)

> ” He is Allah, your Lord, the creator of everything. There is no God but He. Whither then you are turning away”? (62)

Flag 35: Allah! What ails you to see, feel, acknowledge and surrender to Him? (Mumin-40: 62-67)

> ” In this way have turned away those who denied the signs of Allah”: (63)

> ” Allah is He who made the earth a dwelling for you, and the heaven a canopy, and has shaped you in goodly form and provided for you sustenance of goodly things. He is Allah your Lord, So praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds”: (64)

> ” He is ever-living. There is no God but He. So call upon Him and be sincerely devoted to His religion. Praise be to Allah the Lord of the worlds”: (65)

> ” Say: Verily I am forbidden to worship those you call upon besides Allah since clear proof have come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded to submit myself to the Lord of the worlds”: (66)

> ” He it is Who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clot, then he brings you forth as a child; then lets you reach your age of full strength, then lets you become old – though some of you die before – and lets you reach the appointed term; and (all this is related) that haply you may understand”: (67)

> ” He it is who gives you life and death, and when he decrees an affair, He only says to it ‘Be’, and ‘It is'”: (68)

Flag 36: Understand! O You products of (Kun-fa-Yakoon, Word, Ruh): Is it not enough for the children of Adam to understand? (Mumin-40: 68: Yasin-36: 82: Imran-3: 59 & 47: Baqarah-2: 117: Maryam-19: 35)

Note:

(i) Neither science nor any other religion, faith, cult, etc can have another answer to the creation of universe inclusive of that exists in it.

(ii) An unqualified surrender to Allah and His will is the only answer short of facing consequences repeatedly highlighted in the Quran.

> ” Do you not see how those who dispute signs of Allah are turned away”? (69)

> ” Those who belie the book and what We sent with Our messenger, will soon come to know”: (70)

> ” When with fetters and chains around their necks they will be dragged”: (71)

> ” Through boiling water; then they shall be burned in fire”: (72)

> ” Then it shall be said to them: Where are those whom you used to worship”? (73)

> ” Beside Allah? They shall say: They have left us in the lurch and fled. Nay, we did not call upon anything before. Thus does Allah leave the disbelievers to stray”: (74)

> ” (It will be said to them): This is so because you exulted in the land without right, and you were insolent”: (75)

> ” Enter the gate of hell to abide in it forever. Wretched shall be the abode of the arrogant”: (76)

Flag 37: The lost opportunities to yield to Allah’s Signs: (Mumin-40: 61-80)

Note:

(i) Consider the stages of your life cycle and understand the multiple opportunities to reform yourself provided by Allah so that you may understand.

> ” So be patient, verily the promise of Allah is true. Whether we let you see that with which We threatened them, or We cause you to die (before that), unto Us (they all) shall be returned”: (77)

> ” Verily We sent messengers before you. There are those among them We have related to you and there are those We have not related to you. It was not given to any messenger that he should bring a sign (miracle) save with Allah’s permission, but at the behest of Allah (it) was executed with truth; and those who stood on falsehood were the losers”: (78)

Flag 38: The known and unknown messengers of Allah: (Mumin-40: 78)

> ” Allah is He who has made the cattle for you so that some you ride and some you may eat”: (79)

> ” There are (other) benefits for you in them, so that you may satisfy through them any need that is in your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are borne”: (80)

> ” He shows you His signs. Which of the signs of Allah will you then deny”? (81)

Flag 39: Which of Allah’s Signs shall you continue to deny: (Mumin-40: 81 & Raham-55: 13,16, 18 & more)

> ” Have they not traveled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? They were far more numerous than they and mightier in strength and relics (they left behind) on the earth, yet nothing of what they were earning profited them”: (82)

> ” For when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they exulted in the knowledge which was with them, and what they used to mock encompassed them” : (83)

Flag 40: The unduly proud mankind exulting in its knowledge? (Mumin-40: 83)

Note:

(i) The limited knowledge of Allah’s Way (Sunnat) is commonly known as Science in the contemporary environment.

(ii) The scientific pursuit, a function of intellect based knowledge (with ever changing scope and findings) is entirely in line with Allah’s command to pursue knowledge (ilm).

(iii) The exultant mankind, during the course of its life cycle, persistently ignoring Allah’s message brought forward by His prophets, continue to take unabated pride in its knowledge of some of Allah’s laws (Sunnat).

(iv) While the previous generations have already faced chastisement for their rebellious exultant, ignorance and disbelief; there is no reason to believe that the contemporary world shall be an exception to Allah’s Way (Sunnat).

> ” When they saw Our punishment, they said: We believe in the one and only Allah and reject those we used to associate with Him”: (84)

> ” But their professing the faith did not profit them after they had seen our punishment. (Such has been) Allah’s way of dealing with His servants. Thus were the disbelievers destroyed”: (85)

Flag 41: Prophesying belief on the threshold is not accepted being Allah’s Way (Sunnat): (Mumin-40: 85)

Note:

(i) Belief in Allah by Firawn while drowning (Yunus-10: 90) and others making declarations while under chastisement (People of Lut, Salih, etc) are all examples.

(ii) (Yawm: Day) used in some places in Quran is not the day in relation to earth’s solar system.

(iii) At the time when there was no solar system(s), the (Day) may refer to a period with its duration known only to Allah.

(iv) The first two days of creation of earth may refer to the very first two stages.

(v) Similarly, four days with respect to completion of earth and its environment (heavens) may also represent four different stages of creation.

(vi) Extracts from the existing scientific understanding of the formation of Nebula is summarised below. It is easy to conclude that the same is a step-forwarded in recognising Allah’s Way (Sunnat). An unqualified surrender to His will by all (Disbelievers and those perplexed individuals standing on a threshold of belief and disbelief) is the only option.

(vii) The Nebular hypothesis is the most widely accepted model in the field of cosmogony to explain the formation and evolution of the Solar System (as well as other planetary systems). It suggests that the Solar System formed from gas and dust orbiting the Sun. The theory was developed by Emmanuel Kant and published in his Allgemeine Naturgeschichte und Theorie des Himmels (“Universal Natural History and Theory of the Heavens”), published in 1755 and then modified in 1796 by Pierre Laplace. Originally applied to the Solar System, the process of planetary system formation is now thought to be at work throughout the universe. The widely accepted modern variant of the nebular theory is the solar nebular disk model (SNDM) or solar nebular model. It offered explanations for a variety of properties of the Solar System, including the nearly circular and co-planar orbits of the planets, and their motion in the same direction as the Sun’s rotation. Some elements of the original nebular theory are echoed in modern theories of planetary formation, but most elements have been superseded.

(viii) According to the nebular theory, stars form in massive and dense clouds of molecular hydrogen—giant molecular clouds (GMC). These clouds are gravitationally unstable, and matter coalesces within them to smaller denser clumps, which then rotate, collapse, and form stars. Star formation is a complex process, which always produces a gaseous protoplanetary disk (proplyd) around the young star. This may give birth to planets in certain circumstances, which are not well known. Thus the formation of planetary systems is thought to be a natural result of star formation. A Sun-like star usually takes approximately 1 million years to form, with the protoplanetary disk evolving into a planetary system over the next 10–100 million years.

(ix) The protoplanetary disk is an accretion disk that feeds the central star. Initially very hot, the disk later cools in what is known as the T Tauri star stage; here, formation of small dust grains made of rocks and ice is possible. The grains eventually may coagulate into kilometer-sized planetesimals. If the disk is massive enough, the runaway accretions begin, resulting in the rapid—100,000 to 300,000 years—formation of Moon- to Mars-sized planetary embryos.

(x) Near the star, the planetary embryos go through a stage of violent mergers, producing a few terrestrial planets. The last stage takes approximately 100 million to a billion years.

(xi) The formation of giant planets is a more complicated process. It is thought to occur beyond the frost line, where planetary embryos mainly are made of various types of ice. As a result, they are several times more massive than in the inner part of the protoplanetary disk. What follows after the embryo formation is not completely clear. Some embryos appear to continue to grow and eventually reach 5–10 Earth masses—the threshold value, which is necessary to begin accretion of the hydrogen–helium gas from the disk. The accumulation of gas by the core is initially a slow process, which continues for several million years, but after the forming protoplanet reaches about 30 Earth masses (M⊕) it accelerates and proceeds in a runaway manner. Jupiter- and Saturn-like planets are thought to accumulate the bulk of their mass during only 10,000 years. The accretion stops when the gas is exhausted. The formed planets can migrate over long distances during or after their formation. Ice giants such as Uranus and Neptune are thought to be failed cores, which formed too late when the disk had almost disappeared.
